Here is a video I put together on the year 2012. I feel it may open your minds up to what may truly await us in just a few years. Please have a look, rate and comment. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOzmiE3ZMWg

I think the concept of the matter at hand is interesting for several reasons: #1, we are so unaware as a species of anything that's going on beyond our realm of everyday living. This may be particularly due to the advances in technology, forcing us to pay more and more attention to smaller details within our own lives, instead of focusing on the universe and our surroundings such as when the ancient cultures of the world have. I feel we are moving backwards in our understanding of earth, rather than forwards, which seems to be something locked only to scientists, and not the average joe. Even the avg. joe in ancient times, could formulate a calendar according to the seasons and etc... with no formal education other than what hi society bequeathed to him from the past. The second is short and sweet. We're more connected to everything in the universe than more people often think. And.... people should focus less, and forget their drama, and work more on reading and understanding ideals of other people. i don't wanna sound like a buzzkill... but we're all going to be much more prepared for "what might happen" if we remember that: THE WORLD IS SO MUCH BIGGER THAN OURSELVES. quit being selfish, read a book!

Ashley: I agree with what you said here, you make very valid points. Not afraid to speak your mind and I like that. I wish more people would take the time to understand other cultures rather than either condemn them or brush them off as less than themselves. A lot of people are just too dam lazy or ignorant to give a dam about anyone or anything but themselves unless they are effected in some major way. As far as leaving everything in the hands of the scientists I think you're right there too, far too many people could care less about whether this or that happens unless it directly effects them. In my honest opinion, back in ancient times, it was very important for them to be one with nature and do and learn things for themselves not rely on others to do it for them or whatever. Personally I try to learn as much as I can about everything I can, but that is my choice, it's just sad more people aren't so eager to know about what's going on around them.

Ashely,
I agree as well. People do need to start to let go of the drama today and become more open minded. Diversity is the way to go if one wishes to learn. You see, this is why I created this message board. So that we all can learn from each other on here. People always seem to come to me on the internet and expect me to have all of the answers, and I don't. You see I am like the rest of all of you, I am still learning. Sure I have had the opportunity to interview the so called experts on many various topics, but I am far from an expert. I have been thinking much about the year 2012 and what TRULY can happen. Here is what I can tell you that is 100%. 1. There will be a galactic alignment on December 21, 2012 on the famous date that the Mayan calendar ends. At that moment the earth will be in the section of the galaxy that has the most gravity. It is at this point, when we cross the dark rift, or the galactic plain, that doomsday events seem to happen. Some such as pole shifts, major earthquakes, solar flares, etc. Even now we are seeing the signs of this puzzle coming together. Earthquakes, weather change etc. Because this happens every 26,000 years no man on this planet can say with 100% accuracy what will actually take place. Now there is this bright thing in space sending out all of these gamma rays that scientists say is trillions of times the mass of our sun, well on December 21, 2012 when the alignment is complete, we will be able to see what it is? Is it God? I have no idea, but we know it is out there. Now having said that having all this gravitational influence will cause stronger solar flares, I find it odd how in 2012 our sun will also be at solar maximum. NASA has already expressed how bad that alone would be. Now imagine that plus extreme gravity? Who knows.. It is also said that this entire passage through the dark rift takes a few years to complete. So we can only sit back and wonder as to what truly will happen in 2012. People who compare this event to the year 2000 with Y2K are obviously non educated on the topic. There is nothing wrong with that, this is what this board is for. To expose the authentic stuff. ( :

I believe something will happen in 2012, if you look at the history and do the research all signs point to an event. I know that i will just mentally prepare myself for something then that way when the time comes i will not freak out. I believe definately a solar event will occur, our sun has not had any sun spots in a long time and that is concerning. I do think that we can get through what happens because i like to keep some ray of hope.

If your the Bible believing Christian then the 2012 doomsday is not going to happen. Bible followers believe what the Bible says about no one knows the day or the hour of when Jesus will return. Also the world isnt just going to end, there will be tribulations
